The practice of repairing such ceilings shows that the use of only putty for their alignment, leads after a certain time to the formation of cracks in places of joint concrete plates.
Alignment of the ceiling can be carried out using plastering, using appropriate quality materials, depending on the type of irregularities. Previously, work is carried out that are associated with cleaning the ceiling from old coatings to a concrete base with stitches between the plates and subsequent processing of the primer of the entire surface.
When the boots are less than a centimeter, the irregularities of the ceiling can be hidden by a simple puttying of its surface. If the difference is up to three centimeters, it will require gluing the masking grid, which will create reinforcement of the putty layer and give it strength. With irregularities up to five centimeters, it is necessary to stuff on the ceiling of the reinforcing mesh and the device of the leveling layer from the plaster solution, which then puts it up, grinning, primed and stained.
With significant irregularities, it is better to apply leaf materials for its leveling from drywall, plywood or fiberboard, which are attached to the crate. All subsequent actions are putting their putty on them, its grinding, priming and coloring. Such a ceiling reduces the height of the room to five centimeters, but creates an even surface that does not require labor -intensive plastering work.
Another way to repair and align the ceiling is to use a stretch ceiling. It practically does not change the height of the room, but allows you to create an even and smooth surface. Its installation is not laborious and fast.
