Nowadays, prices for construction, purchase of housing and rent are constantly growing, but the process of building buildings itself has significantly accelerated with the appearance of a sandwich – panels in the market. We learn about them in more detail.
Sandwich panels are a building material with three layers: two cladding sheets of metal and insulation between them. Mineral wool or polystyrene foam (foam) can serve as insulation. Are connected by all two -component polyurethane glue. It is profitable to buy plastic sandwich panels in the manufacturer, which is engaged in their production. There are three types of sandwich panels:
1. Wall. They are used to build walls of buildings and internal partitions.
2. Roofing. They have a trapezoidal shape of the external coating gutter and are used to build roofs. The castle of such panels is special, overlapping, which completely eliminates the possibility of leaks.
3. Finishing. They are used for reconstruction and insulation of old buildings.
The assembly of the sandwich panels is carried out on the principle of “Ship-Paz” and they do not need additional fasteners.
The composition of the sandwich panels
In the production of panels, a painted galvanized metal sheet with a polymer coating is used, its thickness is from 0.5 to 0.7 mm. It can have a different color and protective coating, it is selected based on the features of the climate of the area in which the construction is planned.
Between the sheets of the metal is the inner layer (insulation) with a thickness of 5 – 30 cm. The filler of the sandwich panel can serve:
– Mineral wool. It is produced by melting raw materials of basalt rocks. Its advantage is the lack of harmful effects on a person and the environment, excellent heat – and soundproofing qualities, non -combustibility and the fact that it does not absorb moisture. The building built by their panels with such a filler has the highest fire characteristics.
– Polistyle foam (foam). This material consists of foamed plastic. In the production of polystyrene foam for sandwich panels, polystyrene with antipyrene fences. It is environmentally friendly, has excellent warmth – and soundproofing properties, and thanks to some additives, there are practically no fuel.
Why are sandwich panels so popular? Consider their main advantages:
– Low material intensity;
– Great heat – and sound insulation;
– Quick installation and, if necessary, dismantling the structure;
– Lack of restrictions in the construction time due to weather conditions and the change of season;
– Moisture resistance;
– Fire safety;
– Light weight allows not to study the soil before starting construction;
– The use of light foundation due to the small weight of the entire building;
– High strength;
– Simplicity of transportation, loading and assembling the structure.
Sandwich panels are used in various fields and are intended for the following areas of construction:
– Buildings and structures of industrial and industrial purposes;
– Sports facilities (stadiums, courts);
– Objects of the fuel and energy sphere (nuclear power plant, hydroelectric power station, CHP);
– Buildings of the Trade and Square Sectors (warehouses, shops, pavilions);
– agricultural structures (storage, farms, hangars);
– Car wash and gas station;
– Capital repair and reconstruction of buildings. Sandwich panels are used, for example, in the repair of dilapidated buildings that cannot withstand heavier materials;
– Construction of extensions and superstructures to buildings.
All these qualities of sandwich panels provide them with such popularity and advantages in choosing materials for construction.
