The electric five-door Toyota aimed at the Old World will debut in a couple of weeks. Judging by the teasers, the new product will be available with all-wheel drive.
The European division of Toyota announced that on the night of March 12 it will present a new coupe-like electric car. The manufacturer accompanied its announcement with teasers. The name of the model has not yet been revealed, and there are no official characteristics yet. The company has not even reported which segment the new product belongs to. However, apparently, the model will be positioned as a crossover.
Firstly, in the Old World, the model is not expected to receive the bZ designation. Secondly, the electric car for China has a different design. In particular, the Toyota bZ3C has differently designed taillights, plus this model has retractable door handles, while the front doors of the Eurocross have regular handles (the rear ones are apparently hidden at the top). Finally, for the Celestial Empire, the bZ3C is currently announced with a single 272-horsepower electric motor on the front axle. But on the stern of the “old world” model, the AWD badge is visible – obviously, the SUV will be available with a dual-motor all-wheel drive.
It is possible that in Europe, orders for the new Toyota will begin to be accepted this year. There, the crossover coupe will become only the third full-fledged electric passenger car of the brand. The model will join the Toyota bZ4X and Toyota Urban Cruiser SUVs, which have analogues from Subaru and Suzuki, respectively.
