Like other structures, the base should be erected for external stairs – a concrete foundation, for which, first of all, a layer of gravel is poured into a dug trench, and then a wooden formwork is made, and later it is filled with a cement by a cement with a solution. In most cases, the stairs of the outdoor type can be supplemented with metal fences, such as forged railing, whose role is not only in creating a decorative effect, but to create safety when moving up the stairs.
These fences can be established in a variety of ways, which will be determined by the method of attachment to the entire structure. The space of the stairs does not have to be made of only one brick, so it is possible to fill the main volume with a solution of cement, the steps will be brick. For this option, first of all, the foundation base is laid throughout the area, and then the first step is laid and formwork is arranged for laying the second stage.
To prevent the displacement of bricks, they must be fixed with a board, the installation of which is carried out from the side where the approaching is installed. To strengthen the concrete base, a reinforcing mesh is set.
In addition to bricks, the manufacture of reinforced concrete stairs is possible. The design of such staircases is similar to the design of braid stairs. For reinforced concrete stairs, approaches must be used. Construction begins with a fence device – formwork in which the reinforcement is laid and the concrete is filled. Using a special vibrator, as the solution is filled, its compaction occurs.
During the construction of garden stairs, wood or brick is often used. The approaches for wooden stairs consist of boards laid on the rib, and are fixed with stakes.
