Stretch ceilings are a solid heat -shrink film. Its installation is made at a short distance from the ceiling (3-5cm). You can mount a stretch ceiling either at the last stage of the repair, when putty and wall plaster, or after the repair of the repair, is already completed.
Stretch ceilings are attached to the wall using a special profile (baguette) of aluminum or plastic. There are both visible and hidden baguits. It is possible to install a stretch ceiling with a visible baguette after the end of the wall plaster, and then start laying the walls with wallpaper and thus close the baguette. If the installation of a stretch ceiling you will do after the final completion of the repair, you will need to free the walls around the perimeter from the furniture, and the floor is covered with something to protect against dust that will appear during the bustard attachment to the walls.
The stretch ceiling is mounted in two stages. First – a baguette is attached to the walls, then the heat -shrink film is suspended to the ceiling and heated the room with a heat gun. Heat gives the film elasticity and increases its size by 5-7%. At this time, the mounting team fixes the film in the baguette. When the usual temperature is set in the room, the film is pulled. The result is a stretch ceiling with a perfectly smooth surface. For a specific room, the film is cut out according to its size. As a rule, after measurements are made, 3-5 business days go to the manufacture of the canvas. The ceiling is mounted at a convenient time for the customer. During the working day, the installation team can install stretch ceilings with an area of up to 30 m2. On average, it takes half a day for the installation of one ceiling.
The main plus of suspended ceilings is in their durability, because they can last more than 10 years, and the speed of installation. There is no need for the complete release of the room from the furniture.
