Repair is a rather unpleasant activity that can stretch for months and get tired terribly. Nevertheless, every room needs it sooner or later. The first step that should be taken: to determine which repair is needed – cosmetic, capital, euro and so on. Or maybe I would like to change one thing, for example, instead of a regular parquet, the Tarkett parquet board should now stand now. Or replace ordinary paper wallpaper with liquid.
When they decided what was needed, it is time to decide how to realize the plan?
With independent work, the repair can stretch for a very long time and only material losses in the form of spoiled materials will remain. At the same time, there are a sufficient number of companies specializing in the repair, which will quickly and professionally perform the tasks (perhaps even provide materials). But if you are confident in your own strengths, skills and capabilities – dare.
When you have decided on preferred materials of flooring, walls, ceiling changes (which is difficult with the current variety of materials, textures and colors, which can be devoted to a separate cycle of articles), you can begin to prepare the premises. First of all, if possible, to remove or move all the furniture to the center of the room (when the floor is transferred, of course, completely), remove the old wallpaper, whitewashing the ceiling, covering the floor. Left in the bare box of walls, you need to bring them to construction cleanliness, that is, clean it to the concrete slab, as it was when renting an apartment by builders.
From that moment, the most tedious begins: putty and primer of the entire space of the room in order to align the surface. This is the main stage of repair, and on its correctness, as well as the quality of materials, the durability of the result will depend. Also, you do not need to get involved in excessive imposition of putty: it can simply crumble under its weight. After the end of this stage, there will be a couple of days of rest (while everything dries), which can be devoted to the choice of colors and textures of subsequent materials. This stage is the most interesting, as it depends on your imagination.
