Features of wood
In working with wood, it is important to pay attention to its humidity. If the floors are put from wet boards, then after a while you will have to redo everything. The boards dry, crack and form wide cracks. At first glance to determine the moisture content of wood is not easy. When buying wood, you must be sure that it was stored under a canopy and was well ventilated. This wood will be more dry already in the carpentry workshop. Its humidity will be 20-10%. The wood that is used for carpentry is dried separately with floor boards.
After the old floor has been dismantled, you need to check the humidity. She must have humidity no more than 4%. The humidity of the lag, boards and sound insulation gaskets should be no more than 12%. Floor boards, lining and lags for ceilings and floors must be treated with an antiseptic from the side and lower sides. It is very important not to coat the ends of the boards with an antiseptic, because this will lead to rotting.
Methods of laying
For the lag, non -driving boards of the second or third varieties are consumed.
If the base of the floor is the soil, then the lags are laid on brick columns. The thickness of the boards is from 4 to 6 cm, width from 10 to 12 cm. You can also use bars in which the cross section is from 6×8 cm to 7×10 cm;
Lags are laid out by reinforced concrete floors on soundproofing gaskets, the sizes of the boards should be like this: thickness 2.5 cm, width from 8 to 10 cm.
Strict boards are used for floors.
Lags are laid on brick columns; the thickness of the floorboard is from 3.2 to 3.7 cm, width from 8 to 12 cm;
Lags are laid out by reinforced concrete floors on soundproofing gaskets, the sizes of the boards should be like this: thickness from 2.5 to 3.2 cm, width from 8 to 12 cm.
For sound insulation, it is necessary to use asbestos -cement plates, bulk mineral material or wood -fiber plates (another name expanded clay). Between the lags and the columns, you need to make gaskets from the board, which has a thickness of at least 2.5 cm, a width of 10 to 15 cm, length 2.5 m. After laying the lag and their alterations, they move to the flooring of the boards in level.
