Polypropylene pipes and fittings today are a very popular material for creating various engineering networks. Installation of communications of this type requires the use of a specific tool, among which, in addition to welding machines, there are scissors for cutting. With their help, it is much easier to harvest the wiring elements.
Polypropylene pipes and fittings are today produced in a very wide range of diameters, therefore, two types of welding machines are used for their installation: mechanical (for larger) and manual. The release of small diameters PP pipes are carried out in bays, large ones are supplied with segments, whose length reaches 12 meters. Welding devices for polypropylene pipes and the necessary tools are not related to expensive equipment and may well be used for household needs.
Such a variety of polymers, like PP, allows the laying of pipelines from it in a closed and open way, as well as along the wall. Scissors for cutting such pipes are selected based on the diameter of polymer products. Today, pipes with different wall thicknesses are also used, the choice of nomenclature depends on the conditions in which the system will function (temperature, pressure).
For connecting and wiring pipelines from PP, various kinds of polypropylene fittings and elements with brass inserts that have a thread inside or outside are used. Such details provide the possibility of switching polymer segments to metal networks. The equipment that is now produced for cutting polypropylene pipes is divided into several groups: precision scissors, roller, guillotine and battery pipelines.
Precision scissors are used for cutting diameters 3-42 mm. They are equipped with a steel blade with a gear rack, so physically doing such a job is easier, even with one hand. A convenient tool here is a roller pipe cutter, characterized by a very simple design. This simplicity does not interfere with the help of such an instrument perfectly smooth sections.
Cut the pipe at an angle of 90 degrees, any deviation can cause deformation of the cut line. Roller pipelines can be equipped with a ratchet and be telescopic. Battery pipelines allow you to accelerate the work, performing one operation in just seven seconds. A small electric motor is used here. For cutting pipes with a diameter of 63 to 350 millimeters, the third type of device is used – guillotine.
In cases where not one of these tools is at hand, experts recommend using a conventional hacksaw. True, in this case it will be necessary to protect the cut of the pipe from the formation of chips and burrs.
